Meet Yoko Kotsuka, LAC
Yoko Kotsuka is a NY State Licensed and NCCAOM board-certified acupuncturist. She graduated from the Pacific College of Health and Science with a Master's degree in Acupuncture. During her college period, she worked for Institute for Family Health as an intern acupuncturist. She treated many comprehensive cases, including orthopedic cases, autoimmune diseases, neurological issues, and mental health cases. Combining the theory of Traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine, she uses TCM/Japanese style acupuncture with other modalities such as cupping, guasha, and moxa to help relieve issues. Her current primary focus is to work on pain management, overall well-being, and mental health. She believes that mind and body are connected; thus, treating both helps enhance the effectiveness of treatment.
Yoko became an acupuncturist because of her own successful experience being treated by Acupuncture. She hopes that more people could take advantage of acupuncture treatment to maintain/realize their healthy lifestyle.
In her free time, she likes to walk around the park, watch birds and find good coffee places in the city.
